A historical show
inspired by real events
François-Athanase Charette de la Contrie, known as “Charette”, is a hero of the American War of Independence. In 1793, during a battle, he saw his life turned upside down. Le Dernier Panache brilliantly recounts the struggle for freedom of this hero, both Vendéen and French. If you love stories inspired by real events, you will be won over at once by this show with its skilful, captivating plot !
The sets are majestic, the costumes stay as close as possible to reality, and the music carries us alongside Charette… It is beautiful, moving and stirring; in short, you want more!

The Dernier Panache at Puy du Fou is an outstanding show that has been awarded prizes worthy of its merits. From its opening, in 2017, this show was voted « Best Creation in the World » before receiving, some time later, the award of « Best European Creation “. A distinction that comes as no surprise, so magnificent is the staging of this show. Spectators are literally transported into the heart of this battle scene and imagine themselves as companions of Charette for the 34 minutes that this entertainment lasts.
There again, the Puy du Fou has spared no expense in taking its audience into a a journey through time truer than life. Thanks to a rotating grandstand, the spectators are immersed in 60° sets and ultra-high-definition video projections complete this moment out of time. Rare technology and innovation, which make it possible to follow the action as it moves as if you were there!

Practical information
To attend this show, no need to book ! Your admission ticket to Puy du Fou gives you access to all of the park’s creations. However, La Cinéscénie, a victim of its own success, requires the purchase of a specific ticket with a reservation.
